Everyone has their own preferences for handguns. Recent designs and applications have allowed the Micro Compacts to make huge strides in the Concealed Carry world. Here are my top 5 personal favorites.

1. SIG SAUER P365 X MACRO TACOPS

My overall top pick would have to be the Sig P365 X MACRO TACOPS. In terms of an all around Concealed carry firearm, you can’t beat it with capacity, performance, customizability, or even concealability! If you like to customize then the P365 series is essentially legos for adults with its FCU design. It features a 3.7in barrel, (4) 17rd mags, extended mag releases, a metal flared magwell, tritium sights, and a flat faced trigger. You might think it appears too tall or long. However, its total dimensions are 6″L, 5.2″H, and 1″W. It’s definitely the least recoil micro compact I own. I dare to say that it shoots as soft as a full size.

2. GLOCK 43X MOS

You can never go wrong with a Glock. The Glock 43x, like its predecessors, is simply reliable. Many companies have already copied its design. Shadow Systems copied it with their beautiful CR920X(P). Palmetto State Armory also followed with their PSA DAGGER MICRO. The 43x is user friendly, comfortable, light weight, and most importantly, concealable. It has a manageable recoil, (2)10rd Mags, 3.4″ Barrel and is optics ready at a low low price. If you are Military, Veteran, Active duty LEO then you definitely need to look into Glock’s “BLUE LABEL” program. It’ll save you tons.

3. SPRINGFIELD HELLCAT PRO OSP COMP

Springfield has come a long way since the XDM series and I’m all for it! The Hellcat Pro OSP COMP fixes all the issues that the original Hellcat had… the massive recoil… If it weren’t for the recoil, the Hellcat pro would be the perfect gun. That’s where the Hellcat Pro OSP COMP comes in! the Comp reduces that muzzle flip and now the Hellcat Pro is actually likable now. The Hellcat PRO COMP features a 3.7″ barrel, (2)15rd mags, tritium front sight, and an impressive 1″ in total thickness. What about durability? I have literally been trying to break this sucker by shooting about 5k rds through it with no oil or cleaning and its still holding up like a tank

4. SMITH & WESSON SHIELD PLUS

The Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus is one of the most affordable Micro Compacts on the market. However, it is often overlooked. It is absolutely ugly. Still, it is one of the best performing micro comps on the market. Its performance is especially impressive for the price. It features a 3.1″ barrel. It includes (1)10rd magazine and (2)15rd magazines. Sometimes, it has (1)13rd magazine. It has a manual safety and a flat facing trigger. Sometimes, it includes a crimson trace red dot too. Definitely don’t sleep on this one if you’re main concern is budget!

5. GLOCK 19 GEN 5 MOS

Purely Legendary. The overall best compromise gun. Great for performance, decent capacity, decent size, not too small or big, just purely legendary.
